I have been a fan of the Milwaukee Brewers since growing up in Wisconsin. As a young girl I participated in competitive sports, including softball. Baseball was unique for me in that I grew up appreciating the sport by watching or listening, never participating. The season of Milwaukee Brewer Baseball coincided with springtime, summer, and discovery. Every season was an opportunity to mix simple pleasures in life with creative interests. There was an uncomplicated connection of impressionable memories to the ongoing enjoyment of Milwaukee Brewer Baseball.

As a woman I still enjoy athletics, today and have played softball for years. I was strictly a loyal fan to the home team, the Milwaukee Brewers. My softball jersey number often matched the uniform numbers of my favorite Brewers players of past teams. I kept up with the changes in team personnel and continued to catch updates and team news. As a self motivated interest, I even studied the rules of baseball to better appreciate the game and the strategy that is unique in this professional sport.

While living in the Illinois Chicago area, today, I could listen to the radio broadcasts on the flagship station for the Milwaukee Brewers. The station is WTMJ. During the radio broadcasts, of today, you can still hear a familiar voice of the Brewers, one of those that you might have heard growing up. His name is Bob Uecker.
