Item #4 Affidavit – RESPONSE

I’ll emphasize again that Uecker’s fabrications led to Ann Ladd’s arrest on June 22nd, 2006 outside her home in Illinois. On the night of her arrest her car was searched, seized, and impounded.

The attached document shows the release of my silver Toyota on June 29th at 1:25pm. The vehicle was taken from me on the night of my arrest on June 22nd after 9:00pm, towed and held at Hillside for the duration of my jail stay. The vehicle could only be released to me, per permission of Sgt. Steffen. I could not have someone pick the car up for me and I was required to bring a copy of my car title. After I was finally released from jail in Milwaukee, and was able to return to Illinois, I could obtain my vehicle with payment of $370.00.

After having my car towed away on the evening of June 22nd , I was transported to a downtown Chicago Police Station located at 1718 S. State Street. Before being locked away for the rest of the
night in a freezing cell, I was allowed to make a collect telephone call to my closest family member. I was instructed to provide her with the telephone number of (312) 745 – 4290 so that she could call and obtain information regarding the status of my arrest.

Telephone Call - Hearing

My family member was told over the telephone by Chicago Police at the 1718 State Street Chicago Jail location, that I had been arrested for missing a hearing.

This was totally untrue. I had not missed a hearing.

I wish to fully understand how or why a warrant could have been issued for my arrest with no bond, whereby Illinois courts labeled me a fugitive. I was forced to spend four nights in two jails in Chicago, then extradited to the State of Wisconsin for three days . I was a victim of fabrications made by Bob Uecker. I was not a criminal nor had I missed any hearings relating to the case.

It took close to two weeks to finally attain an attorney to handle the TRO case. The attorney’s staff confirmed representation interest on Monday, June 19th. His staff immediately asssisted in changing the hearing date from June 20th, by contacting the WI Court System on Monday, June 19th. The date was rescheduled for Monday, July 3rd. On Wednesday, June 21st, I met with the attorney and provided a retainer fee as agreed on June 19th.
